Cambodia is a small, beautiful country in Southeast Asia that has been hit hard by war and genocide. The Khmer Rouge, a communist regime, decimated the country in the 1970's, and they still have not recovered. Poverty is rampant, and families sell their children for sex. Cambodia is a dark, hard place where evil often reigns, but the light of God's love is shining through as his servants faithfully share the love of Jesus in all kinds of ways. Way back in 2009, we were attending Vista Community Church in Dublin, OH. Vista sponsored an orphan home in Cambodia through Asia's Hope and took regular trips to visit the kiddos there.  In July 2010, Gabe and Marla spent a week in Cambodia with a Vista team and fell in love. We got to meet some amazing people helping fight human trafficking and sharing the love of Jesus, and we knew we wanted to be a part of it. We went back as a family for five weeks in December 2011-January 2012, and while we were there, God called us to move to Cambodia for good.
